After Apple showed off the iPhone X with a hard-to-ignore notch running across the top of its screen — a way to make the display edge-to-edge, soon after several Android phone makers followed suit and embraced the notch display on their smartphones in 2018. Here are some of the budget to mid-range phones launched with a notch in India.

Honor 7S: The smartphone is the latest budget offering from Huawei-owned brand Honor. The device runs on Android 8.1 and features a 5.45-inch HD+ TFT FullView 18:9 display. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 chipset, accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB. The handset gets a 13MP rear camera sensor and a 5MP selfie shooter. It is backed by a 3020mAh battery. The 7S costs Rs 6,999.

Innelo 1: Innelo, powered by iVOOMi, recently launched its first smartphone with an aim to develop and bring ‘Innovation for Everyone.' The handset sports a 5.86-inch 19:9 HD+ notched display with 2.5D curved glass protection. It packs a 13MP rear camera with 5P lens, a Samsung sensor and a soft flash for low light photography. It has a 5MP selfie camera with 4P lens. It is powered by a quad-core MTK 6737H 1.3GHz chipset aided by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, which is expandable up to 128GB. It runs on SmartMe OS 3.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. The device has a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone is priced at Rs 7,499.

Realme 2: The smartphone sports a glass-finish plastic panel, rendering a premium look. It runs on ColorOS 5.1 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. The Realme 2 features a 6.2-inch HD+ 19:9 panel with an 88.8 per cent of screen-to-body-ratio. It runs on an octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset aided by an Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB RAM/32GB storage, and 4GB/64GB configuration. The storage is further expandable up to 256GB. It has a 13MP+2MP dual rear camera setup and an 8MP front shooter. It is kept alive by a 4230mAh battery. The phone comes with a starting price of Rs 8,990.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro: Xiaomi recently launched its latest Redmi 6 Pro smartphone with a notched display. It runs on MIUI 9.6 based on top of Android Oreo and features a 5.84-inch full HD+ 19:9 panel. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC, clubbed with an Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB/32GB of RAM, and 4GB/64GB of internal storage. The 6 Pro pack a 12MP+5MP dual rear camera setup and a 5MP front shooter for selfies. There is a 4000mAh battery under the hood. It comes with a starting price of Rs 10,999.

It runs on ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The A5 bears a 13MP+2MP dual rear camera setup and houses an 8MP front shooter. It is kept alive by a 4230mAh battery. The A5 carries a price tag of Rs 14,990.

Honor Play: The smartphone sports a 6.3-inch full HD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and is powered by a top-end Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Both the variants come with 64GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 256GB. The major highlight of the phone is GPU Turbo technology that is said to boost performance by up to 60 per cent while also reducing battery consumption by up to 30 per cent. It bears a 16MP+2MP dual rear camera setup and a 16MP selfie sensor. The handset is powered by a 3750mAh battery under the hood. The Honor Play price starts at Rs 19,999.
